Nurse Practitioners

Nurse Helen Moulds

Nurse Practitioners are trained to deal with problems that require urgent attention, they are also qualified to diagnose, prescribe and admit patients to hospital if required.

Helen Moulds is a Nurse Practitioner who has worked at the practice since the summer of 2016.  Helen has been a qualified Nurse since 2002 working in Emergency and Urgent care settings.  Helen is trained to assess, examine, diagnose and prescribe medications.  Helen is currently undertaking a Masters degree in Advanced Practice

Claire Armstrong joined the Group in October 2018, she shall also be providing care for patients at our other Practice in Bottesford undertaking the role of Care Co-ordinator.  

Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears, immuninsations and travel vaccinations

Healthcare Assistants

Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement, ECGs, NHS health checks, new patients medicals, some vaccinations and long term condition reviews.  They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.
